Hi, I'm Noah...

OK, so I come by the OCD honestly. It runs in my family. My dad will spend three bucks in gas to save 9 cents on a grocery item. My Mom habitually turns whatever is on her mind into a song that she constantly hums under her breath. And we won't even get into my siblings.

And I, well, I focus on my work. (I say this, of course, because I wouldn't want to tell the story of the guys in my first office who would turn my stapler 45 degrees every time I hit the john, because they knew that parallel and perpendicular were OK, but if they turned it 45 degrees, they could make money on a betting pool for how long it would take me to return the stapler to its place. Definitely not telling that story.)

When I started in ad sales, every consumer product and retail store was a potential sale. I constantly had to know which retail stores a product was available in, and where that store's buyers were located.

When I was building the outsourcing practice for IDT, every 800 number on a commercial was a potential client (Yes you, OnStar).

And when I was running Business Development for Conduit , every website *HAD* to have a toolbar.

Which might explain why I immediately thought about recruiting when I heard about the Duggar Family. You see, the Duggar's are expecting their 18th child early next year, and no that is not a typo. Michelle Duggar has been pregnant for 135 months, and had 18 children, with only 2 sets of twins. her oldest is now 20.

Mr. Duggar, appropriately named "Jim-Bob" is a preacher and former State Assemblyman from Arkansas, as well as the owner of a rather successful real estate business.

While my wife and her girlfriends sat around trying to figure out the math... Michelle was 17 when they got married, 21 when she had her first child, etc... (OK, I helped a little- It's fun try it when you're done with this Blog post), I thought about family. And Work.

Normal people spent 8 hours a day sleeping, 8 hours a day at work, and 8 hours a day with their family. They view their jobs as a utility, albeit an important one that occupies as much of their day as the family does.

I've been fortunate enough to start a company, enjoy my work, and be close to home, so I can maximize time with my family, though I assure you I don't get 8 hours of sleep.

And everyday, I help consultants, career individuals who are making lifestyle to change. they want to advance their careers. they want to enjoy what they do. They want to support their families, but they want to enjoy their families as well.

When my oldest daughter was born, we decided that my wife would stay home with them. It was a decision we were fortunate to be able to make. I believe that my kids have benefited from extra time with the world's best Mom, and I know she works a lot harder than I do.

Though I have to leave the house to work, I benefit every day from the choices we've made.

So happy Mother's Day to my wife.

And Happy Hunting to those of you who are ready to make a lifestyle change.

My name is Noah, and I think about recruiting when I hear about the Duggar family.
