Premium Food Company Hires BCG Project Leader for Director Marketing Strategy Role

Our client, a premium food company has hired a Project Leader from Boston Consulting Group’s Sales & Marketing Practice as the Director of Marketing Strategy in the corporate strategy group. The successful candidate has an MBA from Wharton and 3 years as an Associate Brand Manager and Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble prior to pursuing her MBA.

Candidates considered for the role include:
  • Marketing Director at a division of Nestle, who had been a Business Analyst at McKinsey prior to pursuing his MBA at Chicago GSB
  • Bain Manager with Brand marketing experience from Johnsons & Johnson

Tough Times to Recruit Top Talent

Everyone knows that unemployment is up, and the market is flooded with talent.

I have been telling my clients that
the market is flooded with mediocre talent, but pedigree talent is still hard to come by.

Understandably, there is a lot of cognitive dissonance on that point. And I am interested party, so clients have to waste 3 months testing the market before deciding I really can make a difference in their recruiting.

Here's an objective observer making the case for me.
