Our client, a leading Telecom company has hired an Engagement Manager from McKinsey's Hi-Tech & Telecom Practice as the Director of Strategic Planning. The successful candidate has a BSEE From Stanford, and 3 years in Strategy for a competitive Telecom company, prior to pursuing his MBA at Wharton in 2006, and joining McKinsey.

Other candidates considered for the role include:

• AT Kearney Manager, Wharton MBA, Startup experience.
• Bain Case Team Leader, MBA from Harvard Business School, Telecom analyst for a private Equity firm following undergrad.
